In the UK at the moment there is a band of pensioners who tour the country proving there’s no need to write people off once they get their bus passes. These sock-it-to-me grandma’s and grandad’s have an average age of about ninety but still put some of our couch potato youths to shame.
It appears we all ought to live until we are 125 years old but don’t because we eat the wrong things.
One little lady who has just celebrated her 110th birthday advised the nation if we want to achieve longevity we should all eat sensibly, take some exercise and drink a glass of wine when we feel like it, ( but not too often).

In complete contrast to my healthy fruit and vegetable day, last month I went out for a buffet Indian meal. It was a rare family outing and as I had never tried anything other than mild chicken korma before I tried everything.

On Saturday I played an incredibly healthy game of Bingo. Yes, I did say Bingo!
You see I have an autistic son and at the weekend we attended a Festival of Inclusion. It was a wonderful opportunity for people with disabilities to have fun, make friends and socialise.
Open to the general public, there were bands, entertainers, crafts, workshops, games, therapies and bingo. However, this bingo had a special twist.
Instead of having numbers, the large laminated cards had pictures of fruit and vegetables on them displayed in two rows, and above each row was a strip of Velcro.
